Meet Brian
Brian is a senior level technical security specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the finance sector. His specialist area is digital forensics and in 1995 he installed a Cyber Forensics facility as part of his overarching security role. Since then he has investigated a number of high value financial crimes.

In 2014 he retired from full-time work and has since been researching Cyber Crime and the impact that it has on small to medium sized businesses. He has co-written “Disaster Avoidance” and “Hacked!”, and in 2016 wrote “GDPR: Guiding your business to compliance” which was aimed at European companies. Following the success of this book he wrote “GDPR: How to achieve and maintain compliance” which has a wider audience and aimed at both EU and non-EU based organisations to help them comply in a cost-effective way.
He works as a STEM Ambassador, is a member of the BCS, volunteers for the National Coast Watch as well as helps fundraise for his local Lifeboat. Brian is a certified GDPR Practitioner and works with local organisations that need to comply with the Regulations.
Meet Paul
Paul has an extensive background in IT leadership working with financial multinationals in the US and UK, most recently at Barclays as a VP in the CSO.

Paul led a JOC SIEM incident response team driving active intelligence investigations and protecting the bank from cyber, physical and geo political events. This drew upon his security experiences from prior IT leadership, ITIl service governance and operational delivery roles in support of mission critical IT services. He had a key role at Barclays in successfully hosting and delivering the CSCUK 2018 Masterclass Challenge.
Paul is also an IT author. Outside his IT career he previously owned an industry recognised and award winning entertainment business in Los Angeles.
